Both early and late in the season we catch numerous shark as well as the general available large red drum. And, while waters are warm we sometimes fish for king mackerel as mahi on this trip.

This trip is 100% Texas Waters trip. The primary target is big, strong sharks and the Texas regulations on shark fishing are for more liberal than Fed waters. Especially the local favorite blacktip shark. Blacktips are a favorite because they fight with long, fast, powerful runs; acrobatic leaps up to 10 ft high and then deep diving, drag taking pulls that can go for hours. You can also expect spinner sharks, bull sharks, bonnet head shark, sharp-nose shark and the occasional hammerhead. NOTE: Sharks produce very limited offspring and we suggest catch and release but if grilled shark steak is on your menu, we will fillet and bag your shark.
Chumming while anchored or drifting is the go to technique but you may target shrimp boats, large bait pods, diving birds or even weedlines.
Trip Specifics Range – End of jetty to 9 miles out Time – 4 - 5 hours Target Fishes –Shark (targeted) and at your request King Mackerel, red drum (including bull reds), gaftop catfish, and perhaps cobia (ling).
